and more...

At Empower Physical Therapy, we commonly treat conditions such as urinary incontinence or leakage—whether it occurs during activities like running, jumping, coughing, or sneezing, or when there’s a strong urge to urinate but difficulty reaching the bathroom in time. We also address fecal incontinence or leakage, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, which may involve feelings of heaviness, pressure, or the sensation of something falling out. We can help treat abdominal pain and pelvic pain, including discomfort during intercourse, tampon use, or pelvic exams. Additionally, we treat hip, lower back, tailbone, and sacroiliac (SI) joint pain.

Our care extends to women during pregnancy, helping them navigate pregnancy-related changes and prepare for labor and delivery. We also provide postpartum recovery support, whether after a vaginal or C-section delivery.

We work with patients who have conditions such as endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, prostatitis, post-prostatectomy or those recovering from prolapse surgery or hysterectomy.

While we focus on the pelvic floor, we take a holistic approach, assessing the body from head to toe, recognizing that the pelvis is intricately connected to the rest of the body. Our team is uniquely trained to conduct thorough pelvic floor assessments, including internal evaluations—vaginally or rectally—when appropriate and always with consent. We believe that internal assessments are important for effective treatment, and limiting this can be a disservice to patients. We are here and ready to help you on your pelvic floor healing journey.

“Working with Empower, I am able to have pain-free intercourse and finally complete a successful pap smear, but most importantly, I now have the confidence that I am in control of my body and that I have the skills to help with flare ups in the future. I have been in all sorts of clinical settings but never felt as holistically cared for and understood as I did with Empower.”

— Olivia

“Just had my initial appointment and I’ve never felt so comfortable and understood in a PT environment. I’m blown away by the compassion and professionalism.”
